The Electoral District of Darling Range

The electoral district of Darling Range extends from the towns of Chidlow, Mount Helena and Sawyers Valley in the north, south along the Mundaring Weir and down the Darling Scarp, including the towns of Pickering Brook, Karagullen and Roleystone, including the Clifton Hills parts of Kelmscott and the outer parts of Mount Nasura and Forestdale and the entire Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale.

Darling Range is a new electorate, created as part of the 2007 Electoral Distribution as part of the one vote, one value legislation. The district is the largest in the metropolitan area, covering an area of 1,990 km2. More than 22,000 voters call Darling Range home, with the largest towns being the Hills orchard town of Roleystone and the fast growing outer-metropolitan suburb of Byford.
